The City of Heath and the Licking County Health Department partner to ensure Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) sold in the City of Heath are authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The FDA considers vapes or vape pens, personal vaporizers, e-cigarettes, cigalikes, e-pens, e-hookahs, e-cigars, and e-pipes as ENDS.
The goal of this initiative is to protect the citizens of Heath, and others that purchase ENDS in Heath, from purchasing products which have not been authorized by the FDA.
Things to know:
- This ordinance is for facilities located in the City of Heath only.
- The regulations associated with the ordinance will ensure facilities that sell ENDS within the city, are selling only ENDS authorized by the FDA.
- LCHD will issue permits to and conduct inspections at each facility selling ENDS in Heath to ensure compliance with the regulations.
