The Licking County Health Department (LCHD) is using a text messaging service called “TextSpot” as an alternative means for communicating with clients. TextSpot utilizes application-to-person messaging which allows LCHD to send text messages to clients with an approved message template. LCHD is piloting this software and will evaluate its effectiveness for reaching clients. All scripted messages will include instructions to contact the Licking County Health Department. If any members of the community receive text messages from LCHD and have concerns, please contact the health department at 740-349-6535.

All application-to-person messaging platforms must be registered with The Campaign Registry to verify authenticity. Per the registration process, a privacy policy disclosing the below information must be available on an agency’s website:
