The Licking County Community Health Improvement Committee (CHIC) was established in 2010. CHIC members are responsible for developing the county's Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), which is a strategic plan that addresses the most prominent public health issues facing county residents. The CHIP is developed based on data collected by CHIC members, and it contains goals and objectives designed to address the priorities identified by CHIC members. The committee meets on a quarterly basis to review the progress made toward achieving the goals and objectives in the CHIP. CHIC members also review updated data to identify any emerging issues that need to be included in the CHIP.
The 2023 Licking County Community Health Improvement Plan was approved by CHIC members on September 8, 2023. The plan contains three priorities:
- Behavioral Health
- Access to Care
