Car seats are required by law in Ohio for children under 3 years and less than 30 lbs. Car seats are provided for low income families in need of seats through the Licking County Health Department's Child Safety Seat program. Funds donated to the Partnership are used to purchase additional seats for distribution to Licking County families. Parents are trained on proper installation and use of the seats and the seat is properly secured in the car by a trained car safety seat  technician. Seats are also provided though the Ohio Buckles Buckeyes program, PRC funding through Licking County Dept. of Jobs and Family Services, and donations from local organizations.
